The Goa Project is back for its 5th edition!

The Goa Project is back for its 5th edition, doing what it does best: connecting interesting people.

The Goa Project, India’s premier platform to interact with thinkers, doers, performers and visionaries, today announced a change in date for its 2017 edition. It will now be held on 6th and 7th October, 2017, at Bay 15, Dona Paula, Goa.

Said Udhay Shankar, co-founder of The Goa Project: “Our commitment is to ensure we continue to connect as many interesting people and innovators across as many walks of life as possible. So, when we heard so many people tell us they wanted a different time of year for The Goa Project, we listened. And we’ll be back in October – for the fifth edition, better than ever.”

Designed as an interactive space, The Goa Project has been designed to foster conversations, collaborations and new projects through exchange of ideas. Completely crowd sourced and organized by a team of dedicated volunteers – professionals from across the globe – participants are invited to propose sessions, projects and workshops which are
then curated through a mixture of crowdsourced voting and expert inputs from the team.

Bring a piece of you

If you are going to be with us at Goa this week, bring a little something of yours along. Maybe a project you started but never finished. Maybe your guitar. Your unique style and sense of dressing. Mad hats. A poetry from those days when the heart was warm and life wasn’t as hectic as the mad hatter.

Bring your pieces. We will all bring ours. Some of the pieces will align, we are sure.

Thank you InMobi for being our Gold Sponsor

When any person gets into a long-term relationship, they are careful to select a partner who really brings it all to the table. Their significant other should share their values, strive towards the same goals, and well, bring some sex appeal too.

The Goa Project used the same criteria to target our biggest sponsor, and one with whom we’d like to be in a relationship for a long, long time. We thought hard about what kind of partner we could find which values collaboration, innovation, and inspiration. One that represents the types of change we seek to bring. And one that could bring the kind of glamour that any Goa-based event deserves.

And then, MIT Technology Review appeared, as if it wanted to arrange our marriage. We read their report on this year’s top 50 most disruptive companies in the world. Audi, Pinterest, Facebook, Amazon. The Usual Suspects. And then, standing proudly amongst them, was our very own Bangalore-based hero: InMobi. In just the 6 short years since it was launched, InMobi has become the leader in mobile-first technology platforms, and the largest independent mobile advertising network on the planet.

InMobi

So, on our criteria for a Gold Sponsor, here’s how InMobi ranked:

  • Values of collaboration and innovation: InMobi has data scientists, engineers, creative artists, domain experts and analysts dedicated to creating value across industries and countries. These people work together to revolutionize mobile marketing – pitting themselves right up against the likes of Google.
  • A profound vision of change: Changing customer behaviour. Changing enterprise marketing strategies. Changing the way we use every day data to enhance our lives. Yes, we would call that profound indeed.
  • Sex appeal: Hardly a month goes by without InMobi winning some award. Disrupting markets here, changing business paradigms there – this company just attracts glory, 24/7.

Check, check, check.

When we approached InMobi with the idea, it was love at first sight. They immediately signed up to help us give our participants an amazing experience. The experience that you all deserve. The experience that will hopefully light the spark for other amazing businesses and ideas, like InMobi, to come to life.

Thanks InMobi. Glad to have you on board.
